As a symbol of rebirth, renewal and transformation, the butterfly has become a significant reminder to the staff and families of Chinchuba Institute. Emerging from a cocoon of silence and isolation is not easy, but once the tight wrapping is breached, the beautiful butterfly emerges transformed. The staff, children and parents at KidSpeak work hard to unleash the potential within our students. As their speech and language skills increase, the children, like the butterfly, are transformed.
Chinchuba’s KidSpeak Learning Center provides early intervention services to children age two through five with a focus on teaching deaf children and children with speech and language delays to speak intelligibly and to understand the speech of others. In addition to our special classes, our accelerated preschool program for typically developing children provides a language-rich environment that focuses on individual and group interaction experiences.
Parents searching for a comprehensive, but flexible program for their child can be assured of receiving a quality, individualized early intervention and preschool program that embraces a tradition built on love of children, respect for family and thebelief that every child has the right to give voice to his thoughts and dreams, and have the world understand him. Our mission is to help fulfill that right.
The program is comprehensive, yet is delivered in a fun, safe and supportive environment. The curriculum was developed by teachers of the deaf, early childhood educators and speech language pathologists. Music, art, enrichment, movement activities and field trips are all part of the KidSpeak experience, and in each area, speech and language are reinforced.
